PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
Now a day’s pollution is a major issue for whole world. In Gasoline
crop cutters due to the emission of gases its result gives pollution.

Also, recently in rural areas, there is a shortage of labour available for

agriculture harvesting. To avoid this shortage of labour the farmers
have to move on and start using machineries for harvesting.

The harvesters have high initial cost which cannot be afforded by low
scale farmers .
LITERATURE REVIEW

The crop cutter machine targets the small scale farmers who have land
area of less than 2 or3 acres.

It has cutting blades which is used to cut the crops and it uses the
scotch yoke mechanism – Reference from “Design and Development
of Crop Cutter by Mahesh Kadam , Shankar Thombare , Pratik
Agale”
 The crop reaper machine is compact and can cut up to two rows of plant. It has cutting
blades which cut the crop in a scissoring type of motion. It runs on electrical AC motor , this
power from motor, is provided through pulley and gear box arrangement to the cutter.

The multicrop cutter compact harvester is manufactured using locally available spare parts
and thus, it is easily maintainable. This harvester might be the solution to the problems faced
by a small scale farmer regarding cost and labor implementation-

 Kadaskar Rohit Krishna stated that machine consists of two mechanisms
one is a four bar mechanism for reciprocation of cutter blade over stationary
cutter blade and this mechanism is used to convert rotary motion into linear
motion. Second is collecting mechanism which consist chain sprocket and
motorcycle chain.

Hadid stated that, the height of crop stubbles increasing as stalks moisture
content increased and decreased with increasing of knife velocity.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the project is to cut the crops in a more efficient way.
The design of the project is simple and the parts for the crop reaper is easily
available.
To fabricate the crop reaper with the selected material which are cost
effective.
Since solar energy is used which is a renewable energy it is cheap and less
maintenance.
