1. DEMOLITION OF EXISTING CSCR VIADUCT ISLAND &
INSTALLATION OF PRECAST ZIPPER LANE BLOCKS

 Three (3) locations on the existing CSCR Viaduct have been identified and
approved by the DPWH to be demolished and replaced with movable precast
zipper lane blocks
 Any combination of these three (3) locations will allow a zipper lane to be used as
a temporary detour redirect traffic safely away from active construction activities
that will encroach on any of the CSCR Viaduct traffic lanes
1. DEMOLITION OF EXISTING CSCR VIADUCT ISLAND &
INSTALLATION OF PRECAST ZIPPER LANE BLOCKS
 The blocks are designed with lifting
hooks for easily removing/replacing
when a zipper lane needs to be
opened.
 The blocks are painted Black & Yellow
to be more visible to oncoming traffic
2. DEMOLITION OF EXISTING CONCRETE BARRIER TO JOIN THE
CSCR ON RAMP WITH THE EXISTING VIADUCT

 NECESSARY DEMOLITION TO JOIN THE EXISTING VIADUCT WITH THE CSCR ON RAMP
 TEMPORARY CONCRETE BARRIERS WITH SOLAR-BLINKERS WILL BE INSTALLED POST DEMOLITION
 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BYPASS WILL BE PROVIDED SO THAT REMAINING STREET LIGHTING ON EXISTING VIADUCT WILL NOT BE
AFFECTED
 STREET LIGHTS TO BE TEMPORARY REMOVE DURING CONSTRUCTION.

EXISTING CSCR VIADUCT MAKING IT NECESSARY NIGHT CLOSURES ONE NORTH BOUND LANE TO PREVENT ANY
ACCIDENTS WITH MOTORISTS

 THE PORTAL BEAM FORMWORKS WILL BE ASSEMBLED IN SECTIONS


 TO MINIMIZE DISRUPTION OF TRAFFIC MAJORITY OF THE ASSEMBLY
WILL BE ASSEMBLE WITH BARGES UP UNTIL THE LAST SECTION IS
READY FOR INSTALLATION
6. DELIVERY & INSTALLATION OF PORTAL BEAM FORMWORKS

 SECTIONS ON EACH PILE CAP WILL BE INSTALLED BY BARGE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.


 FULL COMPLETE CLOSURE WILL BE REQUIRED DURING NIGHT FOR INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL
6. DELIVERY & INSTALLATION OF PORTAL BEAM FORMWORKS

 MIDDLE SECTION WILL BE DELIVERED AND INSTALLED IN ONE PIECE VIA THE EXISTING
VIADUCT
 LARGE LOAD WILL HAVE AN ESCORT FROM THE CLJV PRE-ASSEMBLY SITE UP TO THE
EXISTING CSCR VIADUCT
6. DELIVERY & INSTALLATION OF PORTAL BEAM FORMWORKS

 MIDDLE SECTION & WILL BE DELIVERED AND INSTALLED IN ONE PIECE

 TOP SECTION WILL BE DELIVERED AND INSTALLED IN ONE PIECE VIA

7. CONSTRUCTION OF PORTAL BEAM

 SAFETY NETS WILL BE INSTALLED BELOW THE PORTAL BEAM TO PREVENT DEBRIS FROM FALLING
ONTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC
 CONCRETE CASTING WILL BE COORDINATE WITH DPWH AND MAY NEED ROAD LANE CLOUSER
8. DISMANTLING OF PORTAL BEAM FORMWORKS

 WITH THE PORTAL BEAM CASTED THE ONLY FORMWORKS PORTION THAT WILL BE DISMANTLED VIA THE
EXISTING VIADUCT WILL BE THE SECTIONS DIRECTLY ABOVE THE EXISTING ROADWAY
 ALL REMAINNG SECTIONS WILL BE DISMANTLED BY BARGE
 LANE CLOSURES WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS OPERATIONS
