INTRODUCTION
Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups,
like small rural communities or a neighborhood subdivision, if you
will. Although social networking is possible in person, especially
in the workplace, universities, and high schools, it is most popular
online.

When it comes to online social networking, websites are commonly

used. These websites are known as social sites. Social
networking websites function like an online community of internet
users. Depending on the website in question, many of these
online community members share common interests in hobbies,
religion, politics and alternative lifestyles. Once you are granted
access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize.
This socialization may include reading the profile pages of other
members and possibly even contacting them.
What is Social Networking ?
A SOCIAL NETWORK IS A SOCIAL STRUCTURE MADE
OF NODES (WHICH ARE GENERALLY INDIVIDUALS OR
ORGANISATIONS) THAT ARE TIED BY ONE OR MORE
SPECIFIC TYPES OF INTER-DEPENDENCY , SUCH AS
VALUES ,VISION
,IDEAS,FRIENDSHIP,KINSHIP,DISLIKE,
TALKS,CONFLICT ,TRADE ETC.
Objective of the study
Social networking sites are not only for you to
communicate or interact with other people globally
but, this is also one effective way for business
promotion. A lot of business minded people these
days are now doing business online and use these
social networking sites to respond to customer
queries. It isn't just a social media site used to
socialize with your friends but also, represents a
huge pool of information from day to day living.
Social network analysis (SNA) is the
methodical analysis of social networks. Social
network analysis views social relationship in
terms of network theory , consisting of nodes
(representing individual actors within the
network) and ties (which represent relationships
between the individuals, such as friendship,
kinship, organizational position, etc.) These
networks are often depicted in a social network
diagram, where nodes are represented as points
and ties are represented as lines.
Social network analysis has emerged as a key
technique in modern sociology.
