 Abstract
 This work aimed at finding solution for the automation of
mango grafting operation. Grafting is the process of joining
two plants together to grow as one.
 Automatic grafting machines are used for faster production
but it is of high cost and robotics system.
 Mango grafting usually done manually, so there is reduction in
production and skills requires to perform operation. So our aim
to increase the production by automizing the operation so that
any layman can operate machine with an ease.
 In these project, we tried to reduce the cost of machine by
eliminating robotic and sensor work by mechanism and also
reduce the time required for operation.
 Introduction
 Grafting is method where
tissues of plant are joined so
as to continued their growth
together.
 In grafting upper part
Scion of one plant grows
on root System of another
plant.
 Grafting generally done
in vegetables, fruits, flowers
etc.
 Justification about project

 Plant grafting is effective aproch for propagation of

plant rather than seeding
 Higher demand of mangos in India.
 Same method of grafting is used in almost all plant. So
we can use this machine for various plant grafting
 Scope for the business in agriculture.
 Problem Definition
• The process is labour intensive and requires great deal
of skills
• With labour the process is expensive and come with
the low guarantee of success
• Production rate is low with manual method
Objective

 Automate the mango grafting operation.

 Reduce the work of labour .
 Comparison of automate grafting method with
conventional grafting method.
