 ABSTRACT

The project entitled “MED LIFE PORTAL” will be developed using ASP.NET and
back end will be SQL SERVER. This web application will be developed for chain
pharmacies located in various places, and customer can identify where they situated and
enquire about the drugs they need.

The main objective is to maintain up-to-date information about medicine details, book
preferred medicine via online, and check stock availability in online. The registered customer
can view all these information and they can send queries to the pharmacy admin. Pharmacy
also offers to view their access points in every location, for that the customer has to select
their location and the application will display their pharmacy details with contact information.

The main features of this system In addition to provide control, med life portal gives
pharmacies the tools to compete in today’s competitive chain environment. The centralize
database maintains all pharmacies inventory details in hand. So the customer can easily verify
the details they needed, as well as the pharmacy maintains nursing facility to the customers.
The customer can view their preferred medicine with nearest location as well as the
discounted price offered by pharmacy. As well as they can enquire about nursing facility
availability in their location, and if available they can book staff nurse for emergency
purposes.

Pharmacy Registration
Pharmacy admin has rights to update every pharmacies location details. It includes pharmacy name,
location of the pharmacy and contact details about pharmacy like address, contact number, emergency
numbers, and mail id and contact person.

Post drugs details:

Registered user or pharmacy admin will upload drugs available in every pharmacy and its stock
information. Information will be uploaded category wise, so the customer can easily search for their drugs and
know the availability information.

Nursing Facility
Some medical pharmacy offers nursing facility to their regular customers, and emergency situation.
The regular customer who needs of nursing facility should apply in online, and the admin will verify the
customer support and reliability and decides to offer the facility.

Customer Registration:
In requisition process, query posting and feedback posting stage the customer must login to post the
details. So every customer should register and get their account details, with proper login id and password.
Registered customer can book their prescribed medicine from online.
Choose Pharmacy:
Customer look for their medicine will have option to view medicines available pharmacies. They can
choose their own pharmacy either based on location, availability of medicine and discounts provided by the
medical shops. From chosen pharmacy the customer will go for booking.

Medicine Booking:
The customer will search for the medicine they prefer to order from online. The categories arranged
by the admin of this project, easies the work of customer to find the medicine. From the results the customer
can book for their medicines with required quantity and delivery address of the medicine.

Notification:
Customer booked medicine list will be sent to chosen medical shop and the admin will receive
complete order. Based on the order and medicine stock admin will send notification to the customer about
billing, payment details and delivery details.

Feedback:
The feedback about website, services of the pharmacy or regarding facilities about them can be
commented in this module. Feedback includes customer name, contact number and mail id with comments.
 SYSTEM STUDY

Existing System:
In previous days the customer has to wait for the medicines, like medicine availability, nursing
facilities and counseling. Which consumes more time to know about required information, the important
drawback focused here is customer dissatisfaction. In case any customer dropped their medicine slip
without their knowledge it makes them more problem and they have to go to pharmacy and get details. So
as to reduce the drawbacks the of present day problem this project proposes a centralized database system.

Drawbacks of the existing system:

 Time consuming process for customer in case they are living remote locations
 There is no provision for the end users to view their medicine details
 The customer becomes dependant person on hospital for medical information
 To avail offers for medicines customers needs to find medical shops offering discounted price, which takes
lengthy process
 Yet there is no single web app providing solution to find nearby medical shop and choose the best among
them
 To know the stock availability or the status required medicine the customer must go in-person to check the
details
Proposed System:
The online system lets the users to book for their medicine, chose their nearby pharmacy, request for
nursing facility in online from anywhere. The pharmacy can schedule their days based on the medicine
stock, the admin have the provision to update and maintain drugs database and response to customer
queries. The relationship between pharmacy and customer will be improved and let them to work in future
also.

Advantages of the proposed system:

 Medicine booking will be booked in online and the customer time will be saved.
 The patient can collect their drugs details and can give service feedback in online
 The proposed system gives centralized repository to store every details, which eliminates data losses and
maintains up-to-date information
 To ensure customer need nursing request module will be added in this project and customer can avail
nursing facility by booking via online
 Admin have rights to update their medical shop details whenever they relocated from one place to another
or while change their contact number
 Customer login ensures every logon customer only have privilege to access medicine details and avail
booking facility
