I decided that it was not wisdom that
enabled poets to write their poetry,
but a kind of instinct or inspiration,
such as you find in seers and
prophets who deliver all their sublime
messages without knowing in the
least what they mean.

POETRY?

Poetry, which evokes a concentrated imagination and a
certain emotional experience using the language selected
and arranged for meaning, sound and rhythm.
 POE TRY
Poetry is a literary genre based on
a specific form creating a rhyme.

PROSE
Prose is a written work, containing
phrases and paragraphs and has
no metric structure.
 HISTORY OF
PHILIPPINE POETRY
A strong indigenous oral tradition is tied to Spanish and
United States' cultural and language colonial influences.
Poetry was written in Tagalog and also in eighty-seven
regional dialects in the Philippines.
