SMA: This represents the connector type and currently

has the following values:
SMA: stands for RP-SMA connector, more precisely,
O/D : Represents omnidirectional

N : stands for N-type joint, more accurately, is N
O: Omnidirectional

Dual-frequency , two special streams, ceiling-beautifying antenna, can be used to replace

the S500 external antenna model with the factory default antenna
ANT-2451-10dBi-D-SMA-P4

The dual-frequency dual-polarized directional

antenna used indoors, with a maximum gain of
10dBi, can be used to replace the S500 external
antenna model with the factory default antenna for
directional coverage.
ANT-2400-8dBi-O-N-P1

Outdoor 2.4G FRP omnidirectional antenna with a maximum gain of 8dBi. It can be used to
achieve omnidirectional coverage with the NAP-7600 outdoor AP. Because this antenna is
single-polarized and has only one RF input connector, two antennas are required for the 2.4G
portion of each outdoor AP.
ANT-5800-10dBi-O-N-P1

Outdoor 5.8G omnidirectional antenna with a maximum gain of 10dBi. Can be used to achieve omnidirectional
coverage with the S900pro outdoor AP, because this antenna is single-polarized and has only one RF input
connector, so 2 antennas are required for each 5G part of each outdoor AP.
ANT-2451-14dBi-D-N-P4

Dual-band dual-polarized directional antenna for outdoor use with a maximum gain of 14dBi, which can be used
for outdoor orientation coverage with the S900 pro outdoor AP. Because this antenna has two 2.4G input
connectors plus two 5G input connectors, only one NAP-7600 outdoor AP is required.
ANT-5158S-24dBi-D-N-P2

Outdoor 5G single-polarized grid parabolic

directional antenna with a maximum gain of
24dBi, which can be used to implement 5G relay
or bridge with S900pro outdoor AP.

Because the gain is high, the lobes are small(6

degree horizontal direction in 9 degree in
Vertical direction ) and only suitable for point-
to-point transmission.
Antenna basics
The RF signal power output by a radio transmitter (such as an AP) is transmitted to the antenna through a
feeder (cable), and the antenna radiates out as an electromagnetic wave. After the electromagnetic wave
arrives at the receiving location, it is received by the antenna (only a small part of the power is received)
and sent to the radio receiver through the feeder, as shown in the following figure:

It can be seen that the antenna is an important radio device for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic
waves, and there is no radio communication without the antenna. There are many kinds of antennas for
different frequencies, different purposes, different occasions and different requirements.
Antenna gain

Gain: The ratio of the power density of the signal produced by the actual antenna to the
ideal radiating unit at the same point in space, with equal input power.

The physical meaning of the gain can be understood in this way to generate a signal of a
certain size at a certain distance over a certain distance. If an ideal non-directional point
source is used as the transmitting antenna, an input power of 100 mW is required, and the
gain is G = When a directional antenna with 13 dBm = 20 is used as the transmitting
antenna, the input power is only 100 / 20 = 5mW. In other words, the gain of an antenna, in
terms of the radiation effect in its maximum radiation direction, is a multiple of the input
power amplification compared to an ideal point source with no directivity.

When there is no gain, the

power is 5mW, and the
antenna with 13dB gain is
equivalent to 20 times the
power amplification and
becomes 100mW. 。
Lobe width

- 3dB 点

Peak direction
(maximum radiation
direction) )

- 3dB 点

The maximum radiation intensity of the antenna is called the main lobe. The angle between the two points
where the radiation intensity is reduced by 3dB (half the power density is reduced) on both sides of the main
radiation direction is defined as the lobe width (also known as the beam width or main lobe). Width or half
power angle). The narrower the lobe width, the better the directivity, the farther the action distance is, the
stronger the anti-interference ability 。

Top view emission range diagram

The omnidirectional antenna, that is, 360° in the horizontal direction, is uniformly radiated, which is commonly
referred to as non-directionality. In general, the smaller the lobe width, the larger the gain. The omnidirectional
antenna is applied in a communication system with a close distance, a large coverage area, and a low price. The gain
is generally below 9dB.
When an omnidirectional antenna is selected, only the vertical plane has a lobe width. Please select the lobe width
according to the actual situation.
Directional antenna

Top view Directional antenna energy

emission range diagram
A directional antenna is an antenna that emits and receives electromagnetic waves that are particularly
strong in one or more specific directions, and that emit or receive electromagnetic waves in other
directions that are zero or very small. Can be subdivided into semi-directional antennas and highly
directional antennas.
When using a directional antenna, both the horizontal and vertical planes have a lobe width. Please select
the lobe width according to the actual situation.
highly directional antennas.

Highly directional antennas are only used in point-to-point

communications and are typically used to provide network bridging
between two buildings.

The highly directional antenna is divided into two types: a parabolic

antenna and a grid antenna. The wavelength of the signal that the grid
antenna needs to receive determines the spacing of the antenna grid.

The highly directional antenna has a long transmission distance and a

narrow beam width, which makes it susceptible to the wind load of the
antenna. For highly directional antennas, even a slight movement will
cause the RF beam to deviate from the receiving antenna, causing the RF
communication to be interrupted. The grid antenna has a large mesh and
strong wind load resistance, so a grid antenna should be used in a strong
wind environment.

Omnidirectional antenna

The height of the omnidirectional antenna should be about 3-5 meters, which is subject to the actual
environmental results. The visible and non-interfering ideal scene covers a radius of about 150 meters, and
the omnidirectional antenna is more susceptible to interference, so interference signals and building occlusion
can greatly limit the actual coverage. The horizontal coverage angle is 360°

The height of the directional panel antenna is about 3-8 meters. The ideal scene with visible and non-interference
covers a distance of about 300 meters. Interference signals and building occlusion will greatly limit the actual
coverage. The actual environment is recommended to cover less than 200 meters. The horizontal coverage angle
is slightly larger than the antenna half power lobe width.
