About Company
The Sirsa District Co-operative Milk
Producers Union ltd.

The Sirsa District Co-operative Milk Producers Union ltd a

cooperative organization is situated at a distance of 5 km from

the village begu. The organization registered on 11 Jan. 1978

vides registrations no. 711 getting affiliation with THE HARYANA

DAIRY DEVELOPMENT COOPERATIVE FEDERATION LTD ,

Panchkula.

This plant has also got registration from govt. of India with

under FSSAI dated 27 august 2012.


The union manufacture and market milk
and milk products under the brand name “
VITA” which is registered brand name of “
Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative
Federation “ the apex institution at the
state level.
Introduction to H.D.D.C.F
The state govt. entrusted dairy development
programme to an autonomous body namely
“Haryana dairy cooperation “which started
functioning from the year 1970. The
cooperation continued to work as such till 31st
march 1977.
The function of this corporation was taken over
by Haryana dairy development cooperative
federation.
It was planned to establish a three – tier
cooperative structure on Aanand Pattern for
dairy development in Haryana.

About Dairy Industry
Dairy
A dairy is a business enterprise established
for the harvesting or processing milk –
mostly from cows or goats.

In the united states , an entire dairy farm


is commonly called a “dairy”. The farm
area where milk is stored in bulk tanks is
known as the farm’s “milk house”.
Dairy Industry in India
The Indian dairy industry engages in the
production and processing of milk and
cream. The Indian dairy industry
specializes in the procurement ,
production, processing, storage and
distribution of dairy products.
SIZE OF THE INDUSTRY:
More than 10 million dairy farmers belongs
to 96,000 local dairy cooperatives, who
sell their product to one of 170 milk
producers’ cooperative unions who in turn
supported by 15 state cooperative
MARKET CAPITALIZATION :
The industry contributes about Rs 1,15,970
crores to the national economy.
