INTRODUCTION
• Weather forecasting is the application of
science and technology to predict the conditions
of the atmosphere for a given location and time.
People have attempted to predict the
weatherinformally for millennia and formally
since the 19th century. Weather forecasts are
made by collecting quantitative data about the
current state of the atmosphere at a given place
and using meteorology to project how the
atmosphere will change.
OVERVIEW
• The project here aims to achieve the objective of
creating a project for weather prediction in such
a manner that it achieves the clear objective of
finishing the goal that is finding out the weather
prediction for a specified area this area can be
anywhere in the world and with the help of this
project we can access the weather conditions,
humidity index, precipitation level, rainfall and
also even the next 3 days weather forecast for the
same.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
• The system needs database that will ensure
complete change of conversional weather station
to automation weather station and modifying
the existing automation weather station and
ensure computerization of the data found.
APPROACH
• We used web crawling in our project. A web crawler
(also known as a web spider or web robot) is a
program or automated script which browses the
World Wide Web in a methodical, automated
manner.
• Web search engines and some other sites use Web
crawling or spidering software to update their web
content or indices of others sites' web content. Web
crawlers copy pages for processing by a search
engine which indexes the downloaded pages so
users can search more efficiently.
IMPLEMENTATION, TRAINING AND
TESTING
• To perform testing in a planned and systematic
manner, software testing strategy is developed.
A testing strategy is used to identify the levels of
testing which are to be applied along with the
methods, techniques, and tools to be used
during testing. This strategy also decides test
cases, test specifications, test case decisions, and
puts them together for execution.
• Weather forecasts are made by collecting
quantitative data about the current state of the
atmosphere at a given place and using
meteorology to project how the atmosphere will
change. ... Weather warnings are
important forecasts because they are used to
protect life and property.
FUTURE USES and APPLICATIONS
• AI Might Be the Future for Weather
Forecasting. The enormous data sets required and
inherent unpredictability of the Earth's atmosphere
makes predicting future events very tricky indeed.
Current computer models are required to make
judgments of several large-scale phenomena. These
include things like how the Sun heats the Earth's
atmosphere, how are pressure differences affect
wind patterns and how water-changing phases (ice
to water to vapor) affect energy flow through the
atmosphere.
APPLICATIONS
• Severe weather alerts and advisories
• Because the aviation industry is especially sensitive
to the weather, accurate weather forecasting is
essential considering the fact that a greater number
of plane crashes recorded the world over have
weather related causes.
• Farmers rely on weather forecasts to decide what
work to do on any particular day.
• military weather forecasters present weather
conditions to the war fighters, community. Military
weather forecasters provide preflight weather briefs
to pilots and provide real time resource protection
services for military installations.
CONCLUSIONS
• Weather forecasting is a complex and challenging
science that depends on the efficient interplay of
weather observation, data analysis by meteorologists
and computers, and rapid communication systems.
Meteorologists have achieved a very respectable
level of skill for shortrange weather forecasting.
Further improvement is expected with denser
surface and upper air observational networks, more
precise numerical models of the atmosphere, larger
and faster computers and more are to be realized.
However, continued international cooperation is
essential, for the atmosphere is a continuous fluid
that knows no political boundaries.
