Step 1 – MI01 Create Physical Inventory
document
• Document and Planned count dates are defaulted to the system dates

• Select a Plant and Sloc

• Press Enter

• Type the Material number and batch number, if batch is applicable. Press Save. Document is saved.

Step 1 – MI21 Print Document

• Type the document number and press execute. In the Printer, type the Printer name and press enter.

Step 2 – MI04 Enter Count

• Enter Physical Inventory Document created

• One can search by Material

• Press Enter

• Enter the Counted quantity. Save

Step 3 – MI07 Posting the difference

• Enter the Physical Inventory document

• Press enter

• Document shows the difference in quantity being posted. Click


Save. Difference gets posted.

Step 3 – List of Inventory difference

• This list provides the inventory in the system before posting


and the difference in quantity and Dollar value.

• Check Phys Inventory Items check box and execute. Select the appropriate Options.
Execute. List will appear.

Cycle Count

• Physical Inventory count is preferred process in the beginning as it allows users to judiciously
select the Materials and count and post the difference.
• Cycle count allows users to automatically initiate the counting process which are due at any
given point of time. However, this would generate all the documents due for all the Materials
at the point of running this. This is not recommended initially as this would generate many
documents, which can become difficult to manage.
