 A computer virus is a computer program that can copy
itself and infect a computer without the permission or
knowledge of the owner.
 One of the first detected virus was the creeper virus in the
early 70’s
 It is a piece of code that is secretly introduced into a
system in order to corrupt it or destroy data .
 A program which can be transmitted between computers
via networks (especially the internet ) or removable
storage such as cd usb drives, floppy disk etc.

task written in its program.
This process can happen so quickly that the user is not even aware of the presence of a virus in
his/her computer.

A boot sector virus infects boot sector of computers. During system boot,
boot sector virus is loaded into main memory and destroys data stored in
hard disk
