TRASH TALKS
"Don't Let Trash
Throw Us"
MISSION
Our mission is to manage school solid
waste as a resource, promoting
sustainable, environmentally sound and
cost effective practices through an
integrated system of waste reduction,
reuse, recycling and education.
VISION
Our vision is to reduce the amount of
solid waste by promoting individual
and social responsibilities and to
recover waste for its highest and best
use while caring and preserving the
beauty of our nature.
INTRODUCTION
Waste is everyone's business. We all
produce waste in nearly everything
that we do, like water waste and solid
waste. We all know that solid waste is
one of the major problem of our
school.
•As a student of this school we create an
advocacy which is Proper Waste Management.
Our advocacy is focusing on how we are going
to reduce or lessen the solid waste in our
school. In order to do that we will know the
different ways of handling solid waste. We will
also know the programs that should be
implemented in our school.
What we want to happen?

• We want to educate all the students

of Senior High School in Lobo about
proper waste management.
• We want to reduce the amount of
solid waste here in our school.
What we need to do?

• We need to think a program related

to proper waste management.
• We need to encourage all the
students to participate and make
them inspired on what we
advocate.
What is our purpose?

• Our purpose is to protect the

environment and ensure the health
and safety of the students here in
Senior High School in Lobo.
Background of the Project

The unsound management

of solid waste is one of the
most serious
environmental problems,
given its high negative
impact on natural
resources and human
health.
Therefore, it is
necessary to foster
a culture at schools,
aimed at alleviating
the environmental
and social problem
caused by trash.
This project holds that
the way to address
school waste problem is
by educating the
students, heightening
environmental
awareness from an early
school age.
The implementation of
environmental education programs
at schools will help to drive the
necessary changes in
environmental policies regarding
the management of school solid
waste.
What we advocate?

Trash Talks is an advocacy created by

our group. Our goal is to maintain the
cleanliness of our school by educating
the students about proper waste
management.
What the title means?
"TRASH TALKS"

Improper waste segregation and disposal are

some factors that affect our environment.
Nowadays, the students are irresponsible on
disposing their waste properly. They just throw
their waste anywhere and they don't know
that they destructing our environment..
We named our advocacy "TRASH TALKS"
because it seems that trash speaks and
please everybody to dispose them
properly. It is just like a hungry baby, he
will cry to tell his mother that he is
hungry. On that simple way the students
will realize that they need to dispose and
manage their waste properly.
MEDIA

We used Facebook Page to

inform all about our
advocacy. All of the students
nowadays are using social
media specially facebook and
it was an advantage for us to
easily share information
about proper waste
management.
On that facebook page we put information
about how we are going to reduce solid
waste and what programs should be
implemented. Posting photos and articles
that are related to our topic was useful to
easily interact and influence our viewers.
