Management required ?
 To minimize the risk involved in the process .

 To control any unauthorized changes that can result into non-conformance .

 To make the process robust and error free .

 To avoid quality deterioration of process and product .

Initial Production Parts :-

• A lot of such parts, which are manufactured for very first time after sample approval using actual mass
production process and conditions, or which are produced for the first time just after the
implementation of one or more of the following changes :-

 A Design or Engineering change .


 A New Part.
 Material change .
 Process layout change .
 Die , Jig and / or machinery change
 Sub vendor change .
 Plant location change .

Such a first lot when produced , is called Initial Production Parts (IPP)
