What do we need to do?
• Attain zero unmet need for modern family
planning methods especially among poor
couples and individuals
• 65% contraceptive prevalence rate for
modern FP methods
• Achieve desired number and spacing of
children among women and couples
• Reduce adolescent fertility (i.e. teenage
pregnancies)

Section 5.0
To support the intensified implementation of the
NPPFP at the local level, all LGUs are enjoined
to:

5.1. Appoint or designate a local population


officer or coordinator to serve as the focal
person or action officer for the
implementation of strategies related to the
program on population and family
planning at the local level
