GREEN HOUSE EFFECT/GLOBAL
WARMING GREEN HOUSE GASES
• N2O
• CO2
• H2O
• CH4

IR RAYS
Global warming
In the last 200 years burning
fossil fuels has caused to increase:
• Nitrous oxide upto 17%.
• Methane upto 15%!!
• Carbon dioxide upto 10%
Results is increase of green house
gases and global warming
Plant trees
• Trees via photosynthesis can
absorb carbon dioxide and
release oxygen.
• CO2 is one of the green house
gases so trees are a good source
to combat global warming.
• Just One tree in its life time can
absorb one ton of co2 in its
lifetime
Conserve energy

• Avoid use of fossil fuels (coal, gas,

oil,petrol,diesel)
• increased use of, new and
renewable forms of energy e.g
solar systems,wind power
• Use of push mower instead of
gasoline powered mower.
• Buy energy efficient products
Efficient energy appliances
• A tungsten bulb require 500 lbs of coal to light up
than an energy saver.
•When 500 lbs of coal is not burned 1,430 lbs CO2
pollution is avoided.
3R’s
of Saving Mother Nature

• Reduce,
Reduce Emission of green house gases
• Reuse,
Use your old shopping bag instead of using a
new bag
• Recycle
Recycling, glass bottles, plastic, and
newspapers can reduce your home's carbon
dioxide emissions by 850 pounds per year!
CAR AND DRIVING HABITS

• Drive a fuel efficient car cutting down

CO2 emissions by 500 million tons per
year
• Avoid high speeds. Fuel efficiency
decreases significantly at speeds in
excess of 60 miles per hour
• Leaving your car at home 2 days a
week is equal to 1,590 lbs of C02
reduction per year
• Keep tires properly inflated.
Under-inflated tires decrease fuel
economy by up to one mile per
gallon •
Our Actions All Add Up

• We all are accountable for global warming.

• Help pass federal legislation to cut
emissions.
• Reduce emissions at home, at work, at
school, in your community
• Convince others to Act
• Drive less, use public transports or walk
by foot
NANOTECHNOLOGY
Lightweight nano-composite materials
- 10% reduction
- by novel materials for example ,graphene
etc.
Nano-coating
• make aircraft's smoother, reducing drag
• Reduce CO2
• Ceramic
Nanotechnology in renewable energy source
• wind turbines can be improved by high-performance
nano-materials like graphene,
• enable light and stiff wind blades that spin at lower
wind speeds
Photocatalysis by Titinum oxide in chimneys

Titinum oxide
INVENTIONS
BULLET TRAINS/MAGLEV
• powered by magnetic levitation Working based on fossil fuels
• NO HARM TO ENVIRONMENT
• SPEED IS 370MILES/HOUR
GRT artificial tree
• GRT INVETED ARTIFICIAL
TREES,TRAPPING CO2 AND THEN STORED
BY ADDING WATER
ALGEA MOBILE
• PARAM designed a device "Algae
Mobile
• exhaust pipe of a car.
• algae inside converts CO2 into O2 and
releases into air
Kyoto Protocol

•United Nations Framework Convention

on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
• international treaty
•141 countries have ratified
•aims to stabilize “greenhouse gas
concentrations in the atmosphere at a
level that would prevent dangerous
anthropogenic interference with the
climate system
