II. Important Role of Everyone
Each one of us was created different from any other
person. Even blood brothers or sisters or identical
twins are different from each other. This is because
we have different roles to play in life.
No one else can fulfill the role given to a person
except him. Each role may be big or small but
every person’s role is important and is appropriate
to his situation in life. We can then say that our
roles are according to God’s plan.
Because of this, God gave us qualities, talents
and skills to be able to accomplish our particular
role in life, and because these were given to
us, we value these gifts. We are fortunate that
we have been given the chance to study and
acquire experiences that allowed us to cultivate
and improve these qualities. Let us find out what
these are.
 INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY

Reflect and write 5 good qualities

that you have. These may be
physical qualities, virtues, talents,
skills, etc.
III. Dignity of Man
We can see from your answers how gifted we all are.
All these great qualities and talents had to come from
somewhere. Every human being, man or woman, whatever
the nationality, rich or poor, was created by God into His
image and likeness.
Genesis 1: 26-27, “Then God said: ” Let us make man in our image, after
our likeness… God created man in his image; in the divine image he
created him; male and female he created them.”

Genesis 1: 26-27, “Sinabi ng Diyos:” Lalangin natin ang tao na ating

larawan at kahawig. …Kaya nilikha ng Diyos ang tao na Kanyang
larawan; larawan ng Diyos siya ay Kanyang nilikha; nilikha niya silang
lalaki at babae.”
These words prove that all human beings, man or woman,
whatever the color of their skin, whatever their state in life
is, have equal dignity that comes from having been
created in the image and likeness of God. Everyone is an
image of God. What does this mean? his means that
every person is supposed to reflect all the qualities that
God possesses.
Each one of us is precious to God. He created us out of his
great love for us. None of us here can claim that he or she
asked to be born but, nevertheless, we find ourselves here on
earth. Therefore we can say that life is indeed a gift from
God.

Hiram sa Diyos ang aking buhay

We are all important in the eyes of God. We
are also important to our loved ones, our
family. And so let us really value
ourselves. How? One way is to improve
ourselves. Let us not be contented with
what we are now.
Rather, let us try our best to uplift our present
state in life. Let us do our best to use our God-
given qualities, talents and skills. If we do this, we
will not only make our family happy because they
will be proud of us, we will also be honoring God’s
love for us.
