and Hazards
I. OBJECTIVE:
At the end of the lesson, the learners will
be able to:
1. Identify causes of earthquakes, Volcanic
Eruptions, and Landslides
2. Describe the various hazards that may
happen in the event of earthquakes,
volcanic eruption, and landslides
3. Give practical ways of coping with
geological hazards caused by
earthquake, volcanic eruptions, and
landslides.
4. Suggest ways to help lessen the
occurrence of landslides in the
community.

A. Routine Activity

-Review on the previous lesson
C. Motivation
-Ask the students with ff. questions;
1. Are you familiar with the word NATURAL
HAZARDS?
2. How about Ground Shaking, can you
consider this as one of the natural
hazards?
3. Can you cite the different example of
hazards?
4. Do you think all of these examples
can caused damage in our environment
and killed many people?
D.LESSON PROPER:

A. Activity:
A .Group the students into 3,Let them select
a reporter from their group to discuss the out-
put of the activity.
B .Each group will be given a picture for them
to analyze a given situation in the activity.
C. They will be given 5 min. to prepare with
the assigned topic.
D. Identify and explain the hazards caused by geologic
process.

E.Specific/certain group will be assigned to each hazards


such as; Earthquake,Volcanic Eruption, and Landslides for
them to act-out or dramatize portraying such occurences.

F. On a manila paper, have write them down their list of


hazards with their description of each hazards that they
identified. Remind them to include the corresponding effect of
these hazards to the area, people and infrastructure.

• Did you find any difficulty based on
the given situation?
• Reporting system.
C. Abstraction:
• Teacher’s additional explanation input
• Summarizing the idea on the different
hazards on what to a do before,
during and after.
D. Application:
• How can we prevent the natural
disaster in our environment.
E.Generalization:
Individuals should take care of the
environment to reduce the risk of disaster,
eliminate the waste that consumes landfills
and improve the overall health of
communities.
Taking care of the environment also
ensures the availability of natural
resourses for futures generation.
