The document discusses the evolution of technology and its unequal access. It defines technology as the application of science to address everyday problems. While technology has progressed rapidly, not all have access due to the "digital divide." This gap in access has created an inequality in knowledge and skills. The document also discusses how technology impacts society through increased connectivity but also potential distractions. It raises concerns about privacy, security, and net neutrality in technology.

HELLO MY NAME IS USANA BEDOYA AND IN THIS VIDEO I WILL TALK
ABOUT THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNOLOGY AND ITS ADVANCES TODAY.. 1.TOPIC: THE GREAT TECHNOLOGICAL EVOLUTION 2.MAIN IDEA: TECHNOLOGY IS THE APPLICATION OF SCIENCE TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS OF EVERYDAY LIFE. THE RAPID PACE OF TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRESS MEANS THAT THE ADVANCES ARE CONTINUOUS, BUT NOT ALL HAVE THE SAME ACCESS. THE GAP CREATED BY THIS UNEQUAL ACCESS HAS BEEN CALLED THE DIGITAL DIVIDE. THE KNOWLEDGE GAP REFERS TO AN EFFECT OF THE DIGITAL DIVIDE: THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OR INFORMATION THAT PREVENTS THOSE WHO WERE NOT EXPOSED TO TECHNOLOGY FROM ACQUIRING COMMERCIAL SKILLS 3.SUPPORT DETAILS • It's easy to look at Apple's latest smart product and think that technology is a recent addition to our world. But from the steam engine to the most advanced robotic surgical tools, technology has described the application of science to address the problems of daily life. • While people report that cell phones facilitate contact, simplify planning and scheduling their daily activities and increase their productivity, it is not the only impact of the increase in cell phone ownership in the United States. • Research shows that the use of technology and Internet access still vary greatly by race, class and age in the United States, although most studies agree that there is a minimal difference in Internet use between adult men and adult women. 4. DEFINITIONS, EXPLANATIONS AND EXAMPLES WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY? While most people probably imagine computers and cell phones when the subject of technology arises, technology is not simply a product of the modern era. For example, fire and stone tools were important forms that technology developed during the Stone Age. Just as the availability of digital technology determines the way we live today, the creation of stone tools changed the way modern humans lived and how well they ate. TECHNOLOGICAL INEQUALITY: as with any improvement in human society, not everyone has the same access. technology, in particular, often creates changes that lead to increasing inequalities. in short, the gap widens faster. this technological stratification has led to a new approach to guarantee better access for all. USE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL NETWORKS IN SOCIETY BY INDIVIDUALS: while people report that cell phones facilitate contact, simplify planning and scheduling their daily activities and increase their productivity, it is not the only impact of the increase in cell phone ownership in the united states. smith also reports that "about one in five cell phone owners say that their phone has made it at least somewhat harder to forget work at home or on weekends, to give people their undivided attention, or to concentrate on a single task without being distracted "(smith 2012). PRIVACY AND ONLINE SECURITY: online privacy and security is also a key organizational concern. recent large-scale data breaches at retailers such as target, financial majors such as jp morgan, government health insurance site healthcare.gov and mobile phone providers such as verizon, exposed millions of people to the threat of identity theft when hackers gained access to personal information by compromising the security of the website. NEUTRALITY OF THE NETWORK: the issue of net neutrality. the principle that all internet data should be treated equally by internet service providers is part of the national debate on internet access and the digital divide. on one side of this debate is the belief that those who provide internet services, such as those that provide electricity and water, should be treated as common carriers, legally prohibited from discriminating according to the customer or the nature of the products. IN CONCLUSION, WE COULD SAY THAT THE NEW INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES HAVE EVOLVED SPECTACULARLY IN RECENT YEARS, ESPECIALLY DUE TO THEIR INTERCONNECTION CAPACITY THROUGH THE INTERNET. THIS NEW PHASE OF DEVELOPMENT WILL HAVE A GREAT IMPACT ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE TEACHING AND THE LEARNING PROCESS. THE ACCOMMODATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT TO THIS NEW POTENTIAL AND THE ADEQUATE DIDACTIC USE OF IT IS AN UNPRECEDENTED CHALLENGE. THEY HAVE TO KNOW THE LIMITS AND DANGERS THAT NEW TECHNOLOGIES POSE TO EDUCATION AND REFLECT ON THE NEW MODEL OF SOCIETY THAT ARISES FROM THIS TECHNOLOGY AND ITS CONSEQUENCES. 5. KEY WORDS technology, society, digital divide, security, progress, modernity, formerly, neutralize the network.
