A Correlational Study on the

Relationship of the Learning Style


and Academic Performance of the
Grade 10 Students from MDSF for
the school year 2019-2020

INTRODUCTION
OF THE PROBLEM
As the world continues to develop, various different learning
styles start to emerge. The teaching styles also varies from one
institution to another. Thus, these teaching methods serve as
one of the foundation in building the knowledge and skills of the
students.
In general, the purpose of this research is to
determine if there is a significant relationship
between the learning style and the academic
performance of the Grade 10 students in

year 2019-2020. This also aims to bring
balance to the teaching styles of the teachers
in the said academe if it is proven that there is
an imbalance by giving the teachers

According to İlçin, et al. (2018), learning styles
are the unique methods of an individual to
understand and process a new information from a
stimulus. It differs from people to people, resulting
into various learning style. Furthermore, an
individual become more productive if what he/she
is doing is inclined on his/her learning style.

The respondents of this study will be 120
grade 10 students from Montessori De
Sagrada Familia for the school 2019-
2020.
Research Design: Correlational
As stated by Baht (n.d), a rcorrelational research is a
type of non-experimental research design. In this
design, it mainly measures two variable and assess if
there is a significant relationship between them.
The researchers will be handing out survey
questionnaires to students to gather the
information needed as well as use O’brien’s
learning modality test.
