OPC 43/53 shall conform to IS 8112/ 12269 and both 56 and 90

Maximum Dry density test- The trench refilled in the layers not more than 15 cm
and compacted by mechanical means in top 1.5 m and rammed manually with
rammer below 1.5 m depth (portion in which timbering is there) so as to achieve
the desired dry density.
(1) 0-1.50 m
(2) 1.50 - 3.00 m
(3) Above 3.00 m
Testing During execution
Category B:
•Has to be tested by the manufacturer and the manufacturer’s test
certificates are to be submitted and approved by the Employers
Representative
Category C:
•Samples of the materials to be submitted to the Employers
Representative for pre-construction review, following approval the
material may be manufactured as per the approved standards and
delivered to the Site.
Important Points During TPI
PIU / PMDSC representatives should be well conversant of relevant IS and
specification before visiting any third party inspection.
All the test conducted by third party should be in presence of PIU/PMDSC.
Approval of third party is to be jointly stamped with PIU/PMDSC
Specifications and relevant IS Codes mentioned by contractor shall be
checked with the contract.
The compliance of relevant sampling and testing codes shall be ensured.
The record of raw material test results shall be checked by the designated
representative from RUIDP.
Marking of cleared material along with inspection note number shall be
properly done and checked.
Rejected material shall be clearly and properly marked in such a way that it
is not mixed with cleared material.
The inspected material received at site shall be checked for proper
markings and inspection proof.
In case of any doubt the inspection agency shall be immediately contacted.

Construction Intimate PIU and DSC in writing when construction is going to
commence and what activities are proposed to be undertaken.
Intimate PIU and DSC in advance when critical works, such as
concreting, embankment, paving, pipeline laying and jointing,
testing, etc., would be undertaken, along with the test certificates of
the materials proposed to be used in these works. No critical activity
shall start unless the material test certificates are verified and
approved by the Engineer.
