VASAI JANHIT TRUST
Vasai Janhit Trust was established on 24th Dec.1999 under the
public Trust Act. Over the years, the trust addresses many
issues that are related to urban and rural development by
conducting various result-oriented programmes, activities to
uphold human dignity and for the holistic development of the
marginalised individuals of Vasai Diocese.

Promotion Of Livelihood
• VJT promotes livelihood projects in Dahanu, Talasari and Vada taluka
like animal husbandry-poultry, goat-rearing, fish farming. The
beneficiaries in these projects include men &women

• EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN THROUGH SELF HELP GROUPS

(S.H.G.):In the diocese we have more than 500 SHGs doing significant
work
EDUCATION.
• English Speaking Camps:
• In order to improve the
command on the English
language where the Adivasi
student suffer a serve handicap
coaching classes are been
conducted. Approx 60 students
per year attend these camp
since the year 2001
• Personality development &
Leadership camp:
• These activities are conducted
on the school level. Seven
schools have benefited from
these programmes covering
approx 1200 students annually.
