CREATE FOR ME A PERFECT DAY

O God, help me make today

a perfect day.
A day at the end of which
I will have nothing to regret.
Help me to do my work
as well as it can possibly be done,
to treat everyone with perfect
courtesy and kindness,
to conquer every temptation
and to say no to everything
that is wrong.
Help me not to annoy anyone else and
not to allow myself to become annoyed,
not to lose my temper and not to
do things which will make others
lose theirs, not to do anything that is
foolish or thoughtless, cruel or unkind.

Help me to be cheerful and kind, to

be brave and strong, to be pure
and true.

These we ask for Your

love’s sake.
Amen.
 Prayer for the
Beginning of the Day

O Lord,
grant us to greet
the coming day in peace.
Help me in all things
to rely upon Your holy will.
In every hour of the day,
reveal Your will to me.
Bless my dealings
with all
who surround us.
 Teach us to treat all
that comes throughout
the day, with peace
of soul and with firm
conviction that Your will
governs all.
In all my deeds and words,
guide my thoughts and
feelings.
In unforeseen events,
let me not forget that all
are sent by You.
Teach me to act firmly
and wisely, without
embittering and
embarrassing others.
Give me strength
to bear the fatigue
of the coming day
with all that it shall bring.
Direct our will,
teach us to pray.
And You, Yourself,
pray in us.
Amen.
 Father, I have
knowledge, so
will You show
us now how to
use it wisely
and find a way
somehow to
make the world
we live in a
little better
place, and
make life, with
its problems, a
little bit easier
to face.
 Grant us faith
and courage
and put purpose
in our days, and
show us how to
serve Thee in
effective ways.
So, my
education, my
knowledge and
our skill may
find their true
fulfillment as we
learn to do Thy
will.
 And may we
ever be aware
in everything
we do that
knowledge
comes from
learning and
wisdom comes
from You.

Learning Christ

Teach us, our Lord

to be sweet and gentle
in all the events of Life –
in disappointment,
in the thoughtlessness of others,
in the insincerity of those we trusted,
in the unfaithfulness of those
on whom we relied.
Let us put ourselves aside,
to think of the happiness of others,
to hide our little pains and heartaches,
so that we may be the only one to
suffer from them.

 Teach us Lord
to profit by the suffering
that comes across our path.
Let us use it that it may mellow us,
not harden nor embitter us;
That it may make us patient,
not irritable, that it may make us
broad in our forgiveness,
not narrow, haughty,
and overbearing.

for having come within our influence.

less kind, less noble

traveler in our journey toward
ETERNAL LIFE.
As we go our rounds from one
distraction to another,
let us whisper from time to time
a word of LOVE to THEE.

Father.

in all our daily living.

Stay with us with your invisible

Oh God, touch our heart
today and cleanse us
from all sins, put your
love and joy inside.
And keep it safe within,

along and needs our
help, to lift their loads

and give love and joy
away.

Almighty GOD,
thank you for the job of this day.
May we find gladness in all its toils
and difficulty, its pleasure and success,
and even in its
failure and sorrow.
We would look always away
from ourselves, and beyond the
glory and the need of the world that
we may have the will and the
strength to bring the gift of
gladness to others.
That with them we stand to bear the
burden and heat of the day and offer
you the praise of work well

How gracious are You, our God for
giving us everything in this life.
You provide us with a meaningful
existence, answer all our needs
and guide us till the end.
How gracious are You, our God for
endowing our unworthy bodies
with creative minds and skillful
hands.
You gifted us with immeasurable
talents and fashioned us to be
stewards of Your land.
You called us not Your servants but
responsible masters of all even of
Your own creation.

My heavenly Father, as I enter this place, I bring

Your presence with me.
I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy,
and Your perfect order into this office.
I acknowledge Your power over all that will be
spoken, thought, decided, and done within this
walls.
Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have blessed
me with.
I commit to using them responsibly in Your
honor.
Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job.
Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy, so that
even my smallest accomplishment may bring
You glory.

Prayers
I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men;
I was given
weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I had asked for,
But everything that I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were
answered; I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

O God, early in the morning I cry to You.

Help me to pray
And to concentrate my thoughts on
You;
