NEW MANILA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The New Manila International Airport, also

known as the Bulacan International Airport, is a
proposed airport through an unsolicited proposal
by the San Miguel Corporation to be built in the
coastal areas of Bulakan, Bulacan, 35 kilometers
north of the city of Manila. It aims to replace the
overcrowded Ninoy Aquino International
Airport (NAIA).

MISSION AND VISION

“SMC’s proposed New Manila

International Airport (NMIA) will be one
of the largest and most ambitious
infrastructure projects in the country. It
will raise the Philippines’
competitiveness as an investment and
tourism destination, boost both local
and the national economies, and
greatly improve air travel for Filipinos.
It is seen to help generate some 40
million indirect tourism-related jobs
when fully operational.” 2
Main Three Contractors

Groupe ADPi, Meinhardt Group and

Jacobs has been awarded by San
Miguel Corporation to design and build
this $14 billion airport in the
Philippines.

 It’s design capacity of 100 million passengers per year but can be expanded to 200
million

The proposed airport will feature at least four runways, expandable to six.

It will also be connected to Metro Manila by an airport toll road with connections to
the North Luzon Expressway and Radial Road 10, and a railway

Dubbed an “aerotropolis”, it will have its own seaport, industrial, residential,

commercial, and institutional zones. 4
