WHAT IS THE LEARNING WITH MEDIA
a. Auditive Media
Auditive media are media that only rely on sound capabilities, such as
radios, cassette recorders, LPs.
b. Visual Media
Visual media is media that only relies on the sense of sight. There
are visual media that display silent bars such as film strips (rangkai
films), slides (film frames) photos, pictures or paintings, and prints.
c. Audiovisual media
Audiovisual media are media that have sound elements and
image elements.
The Principle For Choosing Media
1. Determine the type of media appropriately; that is to
say, the teacher should first choose which media is in
accordance with the objectives and material of the
lesson to be taught.
Nana Sudjana (1991) argues that the practical values of teaching media are:
1. Lay real foundations for thinking. Therefore, it can reduce verbalism.
2. Increase students' interest and attention to learning.
3. Lay the foundation for the development of learning so that learning outcomes become more
stable.
4. Provide a real experience and can grow their own business activities for each student.
5. Growing orderly and continuous thinking.
6. Helps grow thinking and monitor the development of language skills.
7. Providing experiences that are not easily obtained by other means and help to develop
efficiency and a more perfect learning experience.
8. The teaching material will be more clearly defined, so that it can be better understood by
students, and allows students to master the teaching goals better.
9. The method of teaching will be more varied, not merely verbal communication through the
words spoken by the teacher, so that students are not bored and the teacher does not run out
of energy, especially if the teacher teaches for each lesson.
10. Students do more learning activities, because they not only listen to the teacher's
description, but also other activities such as observing, doing, demonstrating, and so on.
DISADVANTAGES
1. Improper Use
2. Cost
CONCLUSION
Media is one way that has rapid development and
good use in the teaching and learning process. The media that
can be utilized by the teacher is media that is in accordance
with the mission of the purpose and how to use the media
depending on the type and characteristics of a media.
