created by the UN to be
achieved from 2015-2030. 17

seventeen biggest issues that
are affecting our lives today.

WHY WERE THE SDG CREATED?

They were created because the MDGs


were not achieved and there were still
problems in the world.

What is Reduce Inequalities about?
Today we will focusing on SDG Goal 10
Reduce Inequalities. Goal 10 is about
stopping people being discriminatory to
others just because of their
age,sex,disability,race,sexual orientation or
religion. And reducing income inequality.

What is Reduced Inequality trying to achieve?

Our goal is trying to remove laws


that are stopping people equal
opportunities,earn less money,reduce
the gap between rich and poor.

Income Inequalities

A website called “Earth


changers” said that The richest
10% earn up to 40% of total
global income and The poorest
10% earn only between 2% and
7% of total global income.”

Religious Discrimination

Another place where discrimination is


a big problem right now is Myanmar.
In Myanmar the Rohingya Tribe are
being discriminated because they are
Muslim in a heavily Buddhist country.
Over 1 million refugees have
evacuated Myanmar.

Sexism

The next place where discrimination is an


awful problem is in Saudi Arabia.
Women are not allowed to drive there.

be done to
achieve this
goal?

What should be done to achieve this goal?

We should make people aware of


the issue and make awareness by
protecting and combating
discriminatory sayings to help
people with inequalities. What
powerful people in the government
can do is instate laws about
discrimination. For example, in 1998
the Supreme Court of Canada
passed a law that no one can be
discriminated based on their sex
orientation.
