Our project mainly deals with the

spinning of Bamboo: Viscose blended
yarn at two different blending
proportions of two different counts
and comparing its properties like
strength, elongation, moisture
absorbency, Anti-Bacterial, etc.,
 OBJECTIVES

The main objective of our

project is to reduce the cost of
Bamboo yarn by blending it with
Viscose without any major
variations in its properties.

Single fiber Tenacity = 2.5 g/d
Bundle fiber Tenacity = 18.0 cN/tex
Elongation = 22.0 %
Sliver Hank purchased: 0.115 Ne
Viscose fiber:
Length = 38mm
Denier = 1.3 D
Single fiber Tenacity = 1.4 g/d
Bundle fiber Tenacity = 12.1 cN/tex
Elongation = 15.0 %
Sliver Hank purchased: 0.115 Ne

 CONCLUSION

Nowadays the eco-friendly fibers are gaining more

importance gradually along with the synthetic fibers
Consumers in the developed countries are looking for
bio-degradable, eco-friendly and easy use textile
products to preserve the earth’s life
our project conclude that however 100% Bamboo yarn
posses an excellent properties.
Even though the cost of 62.5%/37.5%
Bamboo/Viscose blended yarn is higher than
50%/50% yarn, it gives higher property than 50%/50%
Bamboo/Viscose blended yarn.
