History of Cloud Computing

 It was a gradual evolution that started in 1959’s with mainframe

computing.
 After some time, around 1970, the concept of virtual machines was
created.
 Cloud computing introduced to client-server in the early 1980s.
Introduction

 Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services- service,

storage, databases, networking, software's and analytical and more
over the internet(Cloud).
 Cloud computing consists of hardware and software resources made
available on the internet as they are managed by the third party
services. These services typically provides access to advanced
software applications, high end networks of server computers.
Algorithms

 Data encryption standard (DES)

 Advanced Encryption Standard
(AES)
 Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA)
 Homomorphic Algorithm
Purpose of Cloud Computing

 To demand self service.

 Broad network access
 Multi-Tenancy (Resource pooling)
 Rapid elasticity
 Measured service
Components Cloud Computing

 SaaS (software as a service) : SaaS refers to software that’s made available as

web-based service.
 Utility computing : Which provides ability to access storage & virtual server.
 Cloud-based web services : Which offer services online, such as credit card
processing services, employee payroll processing.
 MSP (managed service providers) : The grandfather of cloud computing which
delivers applications to IT.
 IaaS (infrastructure as a service) : IaaS refers to computer infrastructure that’s
delivered as a service.
Types of Cloud Computing

Public Cloud Private Cloud

Deployment Service
Models Models

A cloud deployment model represents a specific Cloud computing offering that provides users with
type of cloud environment primarily access to vendor’s cloud based software.
distinguished by ownership, size and access.
Cloud Computing

Advantages Disadvantages

• Flexibility • Dependency
• Low cost • Risk
• Speed & Scales • Requires a constant
• Easier management of internet connection
data and information • Poor security
• Device diversity • Migration issue
Conclusions

Cloud computing is really cheap way for companies to

have all the resources they need in one place.
Cloud computing is really great & you’re probably already
using it for business and personal means.
It’s much better way to spread your resources and it
become easier to access thing from longer distances.
