Introduction
Brgy. Lamacan is a barangay in the municipality of Argao, in tbe
municipality of Cebu. Its population as determined by the 2015
consensus was 2,654. This represented 3.67% of the total population of
Argao. The matter of Healthcare center distances is a hindrance for the
people in Lamacan, Argao since the health center is located at the edge
of the barangay reaching near the next barangay already. Hence providing
a conflict of the accessibility of the Healthcare center.

 This study intends to emphasize the accessibility of healthcare center from the residents’ houses in

R Lamacan, Argao. This goes for a fact that there is a great deal of evidence in both the safety and quality of
improving conditions in their healthcare center. The healthcare center is already near to the next barangay and the
a residents have to go through very rough roads and also to its far distance. It is usually the first point of contact

t between the residents of the community and other healthcare facility levels.

community leaders have also been given responsibilities of keeping the healthcare center in good condition but it

 For the people of barangay Lamacan, Argao access the healthcare center
easily, the following recommendation are proposed:

1.1 QUALITY OF ACCESS ROADS

To address the problem of the access roads and the quality of it, the barangay official
of brgy. Lamacan should encourage the workers or the head of DPWH to actively
participate for the remaking or rewinding of all the access healthcare center properly.
The contractors of every access roads that are repaired should work it 24/7 in order fro
what instances that they might encounter. This could help the ambulance and the people
to access roads easily.
 1.2 MOVING THE HEALHCARE CENTER OF BRGY. LAMACAN
IN CENTRAL LOCATION

To help brgy. Lamacan solve their problem about accessibility of clinic. The barangay
healthcare center of brgy. Lamacan should be moved in their centered location or should
be moved in the center spot of brgy. Lamacan, brgy. Lamacan has a clinic though but it is
far from the center spot or not in their barangay but it is located in other neighboring
barangay, in addition the barangay captain should cooperate for the remaking of
healthcare center of brgy. Lamacan and for the healthcare center should be moved in
their center spot of their brgy and for the people to access healthcare center
immediately.
 1.3 ADDITION OF HEALTHCARE CENTER THAT IS NEAR FOR
THE PEOPLE IN BRGY. LAMACAN
To help the residents solve the problem of accessibility of healthcare centers in
brgy. Lamacan, health officers and barangay captain should build healthcare clinics that
is near on the households of their residents for them to get an immediate first aid
treatment for their illnesses especially when there will be an emergency in the area, in
addition healthcare center can’t be build if there is no budget so the barangay should
build a budget plan for the healthcare clinics to be build immediately when the budget is
ready and for them to secure a clean and strong healthcare centers. By doing this, I can
say that brgy. Lamacan is SAFE TO GO.
C Based on the findings of the study, the following are the conclusions are

N • The researchers concluded that in order to properly access the road of

any emergency vehicle, barangay official should widen, repair access
roads, and make new ones if necessary.
