Porter’s Five Force model
1 .Competition from rival sellers
The intensity of rivalry among competitors in an industry refers to
the extent to which firms within an industry put pressure on one
another and limit each other’s profit potential.

2. Competition from new entrants

Threat of new entrants Profitable markets that yield high returns
will attract new firms. This results in many new entrants, which
eventually will decrease profitability for all firms in the industry

3. Threat of substitute products

The existence of products outside of the real of the common
product boundaries increases the propensity of customers to switch
to alternatives.
4. Bargaining power of customers (buyers)
The bargaining power of customers is also described as
the market of outputs: the ability of customers to put the
firm under pressure, which also affects the customer’s
sensitivity to price changes.

5. Bargaining power of suppliers

The bargaining power of suppliers is also described as the
market of inputs. Suppliers of raw materials, components,
labor and services (such as expertise) to the firm can be a
source of power over the firm when there are few
substitutes.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
My internship experience at the. Chikmagalur multipurpose social
service society (cmsss) after each day at the Foundation I felt a
sense of accomplishment and purpose. I could not imagine
volunteering for a more worthy cause. Where else can you call wish
kids' households and have the wish kid say to you, "I'm glad I could
make you laugh. I woke up not feeling great this morning. So I
wanted to at least make someone else's day better, and hopefully by
the end of the day my day will be better too." It is a pleasure to
work with this nonprofit organization and I will certainly continue
volunteering for this special Foundation
