WHO AM I?

Personal Information
◦ I am John Michael C. De Guzman and you can call me Miko. My
nationality is Filipino but when I was a kid, I grew up in the home
of Ibaraki, Japan. I was born there in the year 1998 of 16th of
November. I came from a very happy family, which includes five
people. My father and my mother met each other at Japan and
they lived there happily. I am from De Guzman Family, it includes
my father, my mother, my sister, my brother and me. I always try
to make enough leisure time for family, friends and classmates. I
have always been known for having jolly, energetic and bubbly
personality. I love to smile thus making others smile along with me.
Education
◦ I am now studying as a STEM student in First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities. I started my
elementary years in Daughters of Mary Immaculate School from grade one to grade 6 five years ago.
And I graduated as salutatorian of our batch that time. Then, I moved from DMI to FAITH for the high
school education. My grades were very good and maintained as a result for being responsible and honor
student from grade seven to grade ten. Last year, I chose the Academic Track specifically the course
STEM strand in Grade 11 because this strand brings in my future career as an excellent engineer at all. In
the present, I continue the journey of being as a STEM student and maintaining grade. After I graduate, I
will want to enter the popular school who have engineering courses in the Philippines including
University of the Philippines and University of Sto. Tomas. I will take the examination entrance or CAT
soon so I wish to pass this exam to motivate me and inspire me to resume my dreams and success it by
own hard work, sacrifice and determination in self. For my chosen course in college, I think the best fit
for me is BS in Chemical Engineering or BS Industrial Engineering. My future goals and accomplishments
are very important to me. I don’t want to just able to say, “I graduated college”, I want to be able to say,
“I graduated college and achieve all my accomplishments”.
Social Life
◦ I have also friends who supported me. I am always seeking for better.
However, I am defined by my family and friends, who will always give a
helping hand and support me. The main principle that I always try to apply to
my life and every activity that comes along is the necessity of doing your best
at all times. I have been inspired much by the new acquaintances, who are
beyond successful and happy, guiding me through the core notions of
behavior that would guarantee rewards. I can also be described as a person,
who is hardly ever satisfied with the condition of the surrounding things. I can
be overwhelmed with stress, having little willingness to continue trying.
Habits
◦ My habits are play basketball, play video games and use social media in Internet. First, I like to
play basketball very much. I used to be the basketball team member for the past five years in
FAITH Basketball High School. My basketball skills were very bad, and after my coach’s
training, I became a better basketball player. Because of it, I developed my leadership skills
and I’m assigned as captain in the year 2014-2016. At the beginning of my year, our team was
very good because our team was old and we know anything about team work, but we got
better and better when the time passed. I learned how to play basketball and how to play in a
team form my five years basketball training, and all of our team members were having fun
during all the practices and games. And I realized the significance of my teammates and our
bonding that we done in the past. Next, I want to play video games when I’m bored or tired.
The playing video games helps me a lot for thinking and fast learning. I also using social media
for entertainment and gather quick information in the web. I always check my social media
accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
Who am I?
◦My background explains a lot of who I am and the values
that I have developed. Having family, friends, relatives
and yourself who always strives for the best in life has
had a great influence on me. I am a hard worker and very
compassionate with my goals in life. The “Who am I?” is
a question I have been trying to find answer for my entire
life. It seems to be a never-ending answer because I find
myself to be a striving more than what I am.
