DEFINITION

 An advertisement (or an ad) is a public promotion of


some products or service.
 From the dictionary, a notice or announcement in a
public medium promoting a product, service, or event
or publicizing a job vacancy
PURPOSE
 Make customers aware of your product or service
 Convince customers that your company’s product or
service is right for their needs
 Create a desire for your product or service
 Enhance the image of your company
 Announce new products or services
 Reinforce salespeople’s messages
 Make customers take the next step (ask for more
information, request a sample, place an order, and so
on); and draw customers to your business

Printed Advertisement
Printed advertisement is an advertisement that it is published
by using printed media, such as newspaper, magazine or
others.
Advertorial
Advertorial is an advertisement formed as news.
Display Advertisement
Display advertisement is an advertisement in which it is
displayed in an image or big latters.
Electronic Advertisement
Electronic advertisement is an advertisement published using
electronic media, such as, radio advertisement, television
advertisement, internet advertisement, etc
HOW TO MAKE ADVERTISEMENT
Make sure you have main of the ad. What is the product?, what is the
benefit of your product?, it will make your ad is clearly and interesting.
Write an attention-grabbing headline. This is the most important part
of your advertisement, because it's your one shot at getting consumers
to actually read your ad.
Don't start with a question. You might be able to get away with a
highly creative and compelling rhetorical question, but stay away from
your standard "Do you need a new car?" type of opener. Consumers
have already read thousands of similar questions, and they're tired of
being asked.
Decide where to publish the ad. Will your advertisement be printed in
the newspaper, a magazine, your website, or Facebook? Knowing where
you plan to publish the ad will influence the way you write your copy.
