make.
• When you are finish, discuss with your neighbor what
came through you mind when creating the image of the
chair.

• Design  to formulate a plan to address a specific need or

solve a specific problem.
• What are some examples of what a design can look like?

• Functional • Usable
• Safe • Manufacturable
• Reliable • Marketable
• Competitive

• Characteristics of the design must be considered.

2. What are the basic characteristics of your chair?
3. How will it be made?
4. How will you test it to make sure it is safe, reliable and
