Zen Buddhism

Zen is a school of Mahayana Buddhism that


originated in China during Tang Dynasty , then
known as Chan School and later developed into
various school.

The core beliefs of buddhism are contained in Four Noble of
Truth . They state that the world is suffering, that suffering has a cause,
that you can end and that’s the way to do so is to follow the Eightfold
Path, which is a set of guidelines for proper behavior.

In Zhen Buddhism the purpose of meditation is to stop the mind
rushing about in an aimless(or even a purposeful) stream of thoughts .

Rebirth
If ones believes in this concept, it seems that the idea of “rebirth”
doesn’t fit into Zen Buddhist teachings.

of Buddha or pray to Buddha , Buddha is not a diety or supreme being in
the same way that the christian God is.

Goal of Zen
While enlightenment is, generally speaking, the goal of all branches of
Buddhism, Zen differs in its focus on the practice. Achieving satori, in other
words, doesn't make the practitioner a morally better person.
