MONITORING SYSTEM GROUP MEMBERS: 1. SANKALPA MOKAL – 16IT1029 2. NEHAL PARATE – 16IT6104 3. CHETAN KUMBHAR – 16IT1003 INTRODUCTION TO IoT The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables these things to connect and exchange data, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, resulting in efficiency improvements, economic benefits, and reduced human exertions. IoT involves extending Internet connectivity beyond standard devices, such as desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets, to any range of traditionally dumb or non-internet-enabled physical devices and everyday objects. Embedded with technology, these devices can communicate and interact over the Internet, and they can be remotely monitored and controlled. CHARACTERISTICS OF IoT Interconnectivity With regard to the IoT, anything can be interconnected with the global information and communication infrastructure. Heterogeneity The devices in the IoT are heterogeneous as based on different hardware platforms and networks. They can interact with other devices or service platforms through different networks. Dynamic changes The state of devices change dynamically, e.g., sleeping and waking up, connected and/or disconnected as well as the context of devices including location and speed. Moreover, the number of devices can change dynamically. Enormous scale The number of devices that need to be managed and that communicate with each other will be at least an order of magnitude larger than the devices connected to the current Internet. Connectivity Connectivity enables bringing together everyday objects. Safety As we gain benefits from the IoT, we must not forget about safety. As both the creators and recipients of the IoT, we must design for safety. This includes the safety of our personal data and the safety of our physical well-being. Securing the endpoints, the networks, and the data moving across all of it means creating a security paradigm that will scale. LITERATURE SURVEY Dr. Anuradha T, Bhakti, Chaitra R, Pooja D entitled “IoT Based Low Cost System for Monitoring of Water Quality in Real Time” This paper highlights the entire water quality monitoring methods, sensors, embedded design, and information dissipation procedure, role of government, network operator and villagers in ensuring proper information dissipation. It also explores the Sensor Cloud domain. Jayti Bhatt, Jignesh Patoliya entitled “Real Time Water Quality Monitoring System”. This paper describes to ensure the safe supply of drinking water the quality should be monitored in real time for that purpose new approach IOT (Internet of Things) based water quality monitoring has been proposed. In this paper, we present the design of IOT based water quality monitoring system that monitor the quality of water in real time. LITERATURE SURVEY Dr. K. Raghava Rao, Sanagala Srinija, Kukkala Hima Bindu, Dr. Satish Kumar entitled” IoT based water level and quality monitoring system in overhead tanks” This paper describes the use of Ultrasonic sensor which is utilized to produce ultrasonic sound waves which are besieged on the surface of water. This sensor comprises of a speaker which discharges a ultrasonic sound wave and a mic which recognizes that specific sound wave. We used this part from above research for our project to add some features to the similar existing system. PROBLEM STATEMENT With Development in every Sector, we humans are ignoring the present as well as future health problems. Every human has right to Live healthy life. To achieve this goal we have to drag attention toward the quality of drinking water as it is major aspect with respect to Healthy life. Despite the said government efforts industries are not willing to have a proper analysis of water. Industries find it more expensive and time consuming process to invest money. Therefore need arises to find a solution which is technology based less time consuming as well as less expensive than traditional methods. OBJECTIVES
Water pollution is one of the biggest fears for the green
globalization. In order to ensure the safe supply of the drinking water the quality needs to be monitor in real time. Provide an alert to a remote user, when there is a deviation of water quality parameters from the pre-defined set of standard values. Logging the data received from sensors on cloud storage for further inspection BLOCK DIAGRAM
Temperature CIRCUIT DIAGRAM WORKING EXPLAINATION
The water quality parameters pH measures the
concentration of hydrogen ions. It shows the water is acidic or alkaline. For drinking purpose it should be 6.5-8.5pH. Temperature sensor measures how the water is, hot or cold. Ultrasonic sensor is used to measure water level. The data collected from different sensors is send to cloud storage in real time. WORKING MODEL HARDWARE REQUIREMENT

Overhead tank water quality monitoring in societies.
Can be use in industries for waste water monitoring before discharging in rivers. Directly inform authorities to take future actions for water purification. CONCLUSION
By implementing this we can test water quality of overhead
tanks using parameters such as pH, turbidity, and water temperature. After sensing the data from different sensor devices, which are placed in particular area of interest. The sensed data will be automatically sent to the web server, when a proper connection is established with server device. The system can also provide an alert to a remote user, when there is a deviation of water quality parameters from the pre- defined set of standard values.
