3 out of 10 children in grades 10-3 73.58% of children in grades 406 and

A.CHILD ABUSE
Refers to the maltreatment of a child,
whether habitual or not which includes any
of:
Psychological or physical abuse, neglect,
cruelty, sexual abuse and emotional
maltreatments
CHILD ABUSE
Any act by deeds or words which degrades
or demeans the intrinsic worth and dignity of
a child as human being
Unreasonable deprivation of the child’s
basic needs for survival such as food and
shelter
CHILD ABUSE
Failure to give immediate medical
treatment to an injured child resulting in
serious impairment of his growth and
development, permanent imcapacity or
death ( sec. 3 RA 7610)

Two Forms Child Exploitation

1. Sexual Exploitation- abuse of


position, power or trust for sexual
purposes

child in work or other activities for the
benefit of others
C. Violence Against Children in School

A single act or a series of acts


committed by school administrators,
academic and non-academic
personnel against a child which result
or likely to result in
physical,psychological, sexual and
other abuses ( threat, assault,
harassment)
Corporal Punishment
Beating, kicking, hitting, slapping or lashing any
part of the child’s body
Striking the child’s face or head( no contact
Zone)
Pulling hair, shaking, twisting joints, piercing or
throwing of a child
Forcing a child to perform physically painful or
damaging acts

 Deprivation of a child’s physical needs
 Deliberate exposure to fire, ice, water, smoke, sunlight, rain,
pepper, alcohol or forcing the child to swallow dangerous
chemicals

 Forcing a child to wear a sign, undress or to put on anything

The school adopts a child protection policy
Ensure that all the students, school personnel
and visitors, parents and guardians are aware
of the child protection policy

POLICIES
1. Bawat mag-aaral, magulang, guro at lahat ng empleyado ng paaralan ay
kinakailangang magkaroon ng tama at sapat na oryentasyon hinggil sa CHILD
PROTECTION AND POLICY.
2. Pagbabawal sa mga mag-aaral na lumabas at magpakalat-kalat sa loob ng
paaralan sa oras ng klase.
3. Ang mga taong walang pahintulot ay hindi maaring pumasok sa loob ng paaralan.
4. Pagkakaroon ng pantay-pantay na pagtingin sa mga mag-aaral na di- alintana ang
kanilang edad,lahi,relihiyon,kasarian,pisikal na kondisyon o kapansanan at estado
sa buhay.
5. Ang pagmamaltrato at pagpapahirap sa mga mag-aaral pisikal man o sikolohikal
ng mga guro,kapwa mag-aaral at ng kahit na sinumang tao sa loob at labas ng
paaralan ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal.
6. Pagbabawal sa paggamit sa mga mag-aaral sa
pansariling kapakanan na maaaring magdulot ng
kapahamakan at hindi patas na pagtingin sa bata.
7.Pagbabawal sa pagbibigay ng anumang gawaing maaring
magdulot ng kapahamakan sa mag-aaral.
8. Pagbabawala sa pagpapanood at pagpapakita ng
anumang malalaswang panoorin o babasahin, maging ang
sapilitang pagpapagawa ng malalaswang gawain sa mag-
aaral.
9. Ang pagbibigay ng anumang kaparusahan na maaring
makasakit sa mag-aaral ay ipinagbabawal.
10.Pagbabawal sa anumang uri ng cyber-bullying.
11.Ang mga guro, lalo na ang gurong tagapayo ay nararapat na maging sensitibo sa
anumang tanda ng pisikal at emosyunal na pang-aabuso at kakaibang pag-uugali ng
mga mag-aaral.
12.Pagsasagawa at pagpapatupad ng mga school-based referral and monitoring
system.
13.Pagsasagawa ng regular na kahandaang pangkaligtasan ukol sa ibat-ibang sakuna.
14.Pagsasagawa ng mga kaukulang imbestigasyon at proseso ukol sa mga kasong
nagawa ng mga mag-aaral maging ng mga guro.
15.Pagsusumite ng mga tala ukol sa mga kaso ng pang-aabuso sa mga bata at iba
pang pangyayaring nauukol dito.
16.Paghingi ng tulong sa awtoridad kung kinakailangan ukol sa mga usaping pang-
aabuso.
17.Pagbibigay alam at pakikipag-ugnayan sa DSWD ( Department of Social Welfare
and Development) hinggil sa mga usapin ng child abuse,exploitation, violence at iba
pang kaugnay na usapin.
18.Pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan at kaayusan ng mag-aaral sa lahat ng oras at
pagkakataon.
