Any citizen of INDIA can ask for information under
RTI these laws.
The act extends to the whole of country except the state of Jammu and Kashmir. OCI’S(OVERSEAS CITIZENS OF INDIA) and PIO’S(PERSONS OF INDIAN ORIGIN) card holders can also ask for information under the RTI ACT. For citizens OCI’S & PIO’S who are staying out of india,the RTI application can be filed with the PIO of local INDIAN EMBASSY. You can seek information under RTI ACT 2005 from any public Authority(govt organisation or govt aided organisation) Application can be hand written or typed.Application form can be downloaded from INDIA DEVELOPMENT GATEWAY PORTAL Application should be submit in ENGLISH,HINDI Or ANY LANGUAGE.
