General Orientation
• The basic objective is to make employee
feel at ease and comfortable.
•Includes, exposing them to the history of
the organization, business goals and
processes of the organization.
•Taken for the visit of the whole organization,
to understand the business processes.
•Classroom input should be given for a
month, then should be placed in each
department as a trainee to.understand each
processes.
Departmental Orientation
• Oriented to his department where he
is going to work.
•The role, responsibility of the
individual in the department and the
departmental operating practices are
told to the new employee.
•Develops acquaintance with the
supervisors, peers and supervisors.
Specific-Job Orientation
•A specific assignment with specific
job description is given to the
employee.
•Oriented with the methodology to
be adopted, for a particular job.
•The supervisor if required should
adapt a hand holding approach to
guide tge individual.

Contents of Induction Programme
Organizational issues : History of the company,
names and titles of key executives, employees'
title and department, layout of physical facility,
overview of production process, company
policies and rules, disciplinary procedures,
safety procedure and employees' handbook.
