IS-U/CCS
 IS-U/CCS stands for “Industry Solution for Utilities- Customer Care &
Service”.
 IS-U/CCS is a business-process-oriented sales and information system for
all types of utilities and services offered by a utility company, waste disposal
company and service company.
 The core ISU/CCS applications is a consumption billing system that
valuates both measured and flat rate consumptions and services. Services
are billed and invoiced using the standard component Sales and
Distribution (SD).

Billing and Invoicing
Billing:

- Valuation of consumption
- Performs outsorting validations
- Creates billing documents for invoicing

Invoicing
 The process that links the billing document to contact accounts
receivable and payable, and provides the basis for bill creation.
 The tasks of invoicing includes…
- Group together billing documents of contracts from the same
contact account into one joint bill.
- Posting documents to FI-CA sub-ledger accounting.
- Supply bill printout documents for bill creation.
- Processing budget billing plans.
Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable

 It is accounts receivable and payable at sub-ledger level (which contains


detailed transactions specific to customer), summarizes it, and forward the
posting to FI.
 Once billing and invoicing happens this comes into picture.
 Postings are processed here from FICA to FICO for invoice processing.
Customer Service (Customer Interaction Centre)

 Bridge between the customer and the utility company.


 Agent activities regarding customer queries are processed in this module.
 Core module where you can relate all the data of a customer
 CRM is the advanced version.
 It is a working interface, it is used by the agents who have direct contact
with the customers.
 The contract center represents the central initial access point for agents in
the customer center ( call center).
 CIC is the starting point for processing all the business processes.
