Stative Verbs

 This type of verbs are designated "stative verbs" , refers to


temporary situations or states.
So, we say I’m sorry, I don’t understand rather than I’m not
understanding

You don’t use this type of verb with continuous form.

Dinamyc Verbs

 A dynamic (or action) verb shows continued or progressive action on


the part of the subject.
 Is one that can be used in the progressive (continuous) aspect,
indicating an unfinished action.
Future Progressive

 Indicates continuing action. Is an action in developing in this


case, refers an action will be developing in the future.

 Tomorrow morning, I will be studying.


 At 7 o’ clock tomorrow, I will be watching that film.
Interruption in the future

 Also we can use to indicate an action will stay interrupted in


the future

 I will be watching TV when mum comes from work.


 Dad will be cooking dinner when I arrive home.

Long action is developing (future continuous)


Specific Time and Simultaneous

 To refers actions that will happen in a specific time


 Next month she will be driving her new car.

Simultaneous Actions
 Also we can use show simultaneity, it means two actions will be
produced at the same time in the future

 I will be working while he will be having fun.


Gramatical Structure

[will be + present participle]


 You will be waiting for her when her plane arrives
tonight.
 Will you be waiting for her when her plane arrives
tonight?
 You will not be waiting for her when her plane
arrives tonight.
Seem

 stative verb
 You don’t have 100 % certain
 It’s your impression and perception of something
You seem tired today (what category is seem?)
 (Pareces cansado hoy –aunque quizás no lo estés–)
 You are tired today
 (Hoy estás cansado –no hay duda de que lo estás–)
Seem

 Both look and appear can be used to refer to an observable state


 He appears to be worried/ He looks worried
 (He seems to be worried-perhaps there is something about his
facial expression or behavior that leads us to think he may feel this
way)
 Instead, when we use seem we do it to talk about an impression or
perception of ours, in which the subject does not necessarily come
into play.

 He is always working, even on Sundays (affirmative sentences)
