Discussing the Data- Sine Graph Temperature
Period:
The period in this equation is 0.47 and once you divide by 2 times pie you will get 13.46. This is not what
you are expected to get since the period is supposed to be around 12. This is due to rounding the
previous numbers. The reason it is supposed to be 12 is because of the number of months being
calculated.

Amplitude:
Amplitude shows the range of temperature values. If we double the amplitude (23) we get 46. The
difference between the highest (90) and lowest value (46) is 44.

T Value: (Maximum and Minimum)

These maximums and minimums represent the highs and lows for the year. In July it presents the
highest average of the year (90). January has the lowest point of the graph as well as the lowest data
value of 46.

Why did this happen?

Since the data provided for precipitation is not
periodic in nature a sine equation can not be
provided.

Precipitation Equation Analysis:

Since we are not able to discern a equation for the
precipitation I am not able to discuss the
amplitude/period/t value.
 Which one works with sine equation better?
As shown in the two graphs provided, temperature
was the only one able to produce a complete
formula. This is because the data for precipitation
data are not actually periodic in nature.

Therefore the temperature data used from

Clarksville, TN is the best for using a sine graph
instead of precipitation from the same city.
