Once upon a time, in the tall grasslands of Australia, lived a mother kangaroo and its son, Joey.
One fine day, mother was worried because Joey had been missing for a while. Apparently Joey go
to road and It hopped through the tall bushes and bumped into an old wombat “oh! Who is this
who cannot leave an old blind wombat alone?” Thundered the wombat. Then Joey apologized.
Wombat pleaded, “please help me. I am hungry.” Joey told the wombat to hold its tail and it
would guide it to green pastures. Mother hopped with the old wombat behind and stopped at
green grass for the wombat could chew on. The old wombat then asked, “please, can you take
me to a river? I am thirsty.” Joey agreed to help again. As Joey went to the river, it stopped “ohh
where you go my son, I am so worried to you” Asked mother Joey and mother It hopped to lift
joey and kiss it. The wombat turned into an angel and said to the Joeyr “Joey, you are the kindest
off all animals. I had asked others too, but nobody stopped.” The angel asked the mother Joey to
tie the bark of a tree around its tummy. As it did so, it turned into a pouch!. The mother was
everjoyed and placed joey into the pouch. From that day onwards, all kangaroos have a pouches.
