The EMPIRE STATES is one of New
York's best-known skyscrapers. It was
the tallest building in the world for
forty years.

Designed by William F Lamb in 1931, it


measures 443m in height. He is one of
the biggest film icons, starring in films
like You and Me, Something to
Remember or King Kong.

At night it is illuminated in different colors, recently by the World Championships of


Spain, lit up in yellow and red.
Central Park is the park located in
midtown Manhattan. It has an area of
314 hectares. It is visited each year by
about 25 million people.

The park was built in 1873,


and within it there are
different areas, among
which you can distinguish a
small zoo and a large lake
that occupies for the most
part.

It is currently the sports


center of choice for
many of NWY's
residents and visitors.
TIMES SQUARE is one of New York's best-known
areas, located on Broadway Avenue and Seventh
Avenue. It is named after the New York Times
newspaper.

In this famous corner have been recorded many


films, and in it currently are the best known
theaters of this city.

Today there are many bright posters, make this corner a beautiful night print.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

U.S. Independence Day is the


national holiday celebrated July
4 in the United States. This day
marks the signing of the
Declaration of Independence in
1776 in which the country
proclaimed its formal
separation from the British
Empire. It is usually celebrated
with many outdoor activities
such as parades, baseball
games and fireworks shows.
THANKSGIVING
DAY
Thanksgiving (in English, Thanksgiving; literally thanking) is a traditional celebration of the
United States and Canada. In the United States it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of
November, although it was originally done on the last Thursday. Most people in the United
States celebrate this party with family gatherings in their homes where they prepare a
banquet. In many houses it is common to offer a prayer of thanks. The traditional main
course for dinner is a large roast or baked turkey. This turkey is traditionally accompanied
with a stuffing made of cornbread and sage. It is traditionally served with a jelly or
cranberry sauce. In addition they usually serve vegetable dishes such as green beans,
sweet potato and mashed potatoes with gravy, which is a sauce made from turkey juice; A
wide variety of desserts is also usually served, with pumpkin pie being the most popular. It
is also common to prepare pecan nut and apple pie.
TYPICAL MEALS
The hot dog is a sandwich with a sausage, which can

Hot dog is, according to many authors, an invention of
American culinary. Hot dog has been greatly reported

a food that can be found on the street of big cities.
Traditionally the hot dog is associated, selling street
food in small carts (stands) prepared to be served
instantly. Its sale is linked to a carts ("Hot dog carts")
usually located in the busiest streets of the main
capitals of the world.
APPLE PIE

Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cup whole milk
2 egg yolks whipped
1 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch or cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
4 cups cranberry
1 tablespoon lemon juice

1. In a saucepan mix the milk, 2 whipped egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons cornstarch or
cornmeal. Cook and mix until thickened. Add the vanilla and a tablespoon of butter. Stir all the time
gently. Stir and leave to cool. After spreading this cream into the already made-of-your-foot
mold, leave in the refrigerator in the meantime.

2. Place a cup of berries with 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons cornstarch or cornmeal and 3/4 cup
water in a saucepan. Simmer and cook for about 2 minutes until thickened. Add the lemon juice plus
a tablespoon of butter. Cool and add the rest of the berries. Mix well and empty over the already
made foot cream. Refrigerate for two hours.
ERNEST HEMINWAY
One of the best-known American writers is Ernest
Hemingway,. Born July 21, 1899, in Oak Park,
Illinois.

He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1953 for his work "The


Old Sea", and also the Nobel Prize in Literature.
