Psycholinguistics is the
combination of two sciences:
Psychology and Linguistics

According to E.M Hatch, Psycholinguistics is

the study of human Language
 Language acquisition
First of all,Many people have tried to explain through many theories
how humans acquire a language since the first months they are born

Innateness and Critical Period Hypothesis are some of those theories that explain
very deep the process of lnguage acquistion.

The Innateness hypothesis,introduced by Noam Chomky,has

tried ti explain how children acqiure language since they are
born.

Chomsky argues that if a child is born into a typical linguistic

environment,acquisition of language will come naturally and
without any trouble.
 Another Hypothesis that is immersed in language
acquistion the Critical period one

This Hypothesis was developed by

Penfield and Robets in 1959,and 1967
it was restructured by Lenneberg

In this hypothesis,Lenneberg argues that

there exist a developedmental period that
goes from infancy to puberty,and during this
period children a full native competence of a
particular language.
