More crashes are recorded on Urban Roads. However, Motorways recorded higher levels of
fatality per kilometre travelled (0.08 in 2015) than on Urban roads (0.04).

A paper on ROAD TRANSPORT ACCIDENTS IN THE FOCUS OF PUBLIC HEALTH IN BULGARIA by

D. DIMITROVA indicates that over 40% of the causes of crashes are determined by bad roads
and 2/3 of the crashes are recorded during the day.
