INTRODUCTION
– Many families are suffering nowadays because of not having their own
shelter which they could call their “HOME”. Home where they could
build their own family. A home where they can live comfortably and can
provide a healthy living.
– But there are things that causes this dream to be so hard to achieve
especially to the less fortunate people. Because as we all know, building
a house can cost lots and lots of money which they cannot afford. That’s
why the government provides socialized and economic housing to ease
these problem
WHAT IS A SOCIALIZED
HOUSING?
– Socialized housing refers to housing programs and projects covering houses and
lots or home lots only undertaken by the government or the private sector for
the unprivileged and homeless citizens which shall include sites and services
development, long term financing, liberalized terms on interest payments, and
such other benefits in agreement with this Act. – Urban Development and
Housing Act (UDHA), RA 7279
WHO ARE THE TARGETED
BENIFICIARIES?
– “Economic and Socialized Housing” refers to housing units which are within the
affordability level of the average and low-income earners which are thirty
percent (30%) of the gross family income as determined by the NATIONAL
ECONOMIC AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY from time to time. It shall also
refers to the government-initiated sites and services development and
construction of economic and socialized housing projects in depressed areas-

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SOCIALIZED
HOUSING PROGRAM?

– A. Must be a Filipino citizen;


– B. Must be unprivileged and homeless resident, as defined in Section 3 of this
Act;
– C. Must not own any real property whether in the urban or rural areas;
– D. Must not be a professional squatter or a member of squatting syndicates.
ECONOMIC HOUSING
– Everybody has the right to feel at home. Home is an important place to feel
good, it’s a place to gather with family or friends and for memories of restful
retreats.
– ECONOMIC HOUSING is develop to provide comfort with respect to budget and
environment. It contributes socially, economically and ecologically to a balanced
colorful and stronger society, enabling to adapt in time.
– Economic Housing offers everybody freedom in their own home. Home is
where one is welcome.

Housing Development- a group of individual dwellings or apartment houses
typically of similar design that are usually built and sold or lease by one
management.
