Summary
Education is most confusing term in Pakistan. Pakistani education is divided
into two school of thought. One is traditional or Religious and other is Modern.
Religious focuses on life after death while on contrast the modern emphasizes
on worldly life. The basic reason behind this separation is govt itself because
state does not take any step for its educational institutions. Govt should
regularize both school of thought in modernize way. Secondly the concept of
education is misguided by both ways of institutions manufactures the robots
without critical thinking. Religious and modern both are fearing from each
other. Both are threaten from their values. Govt should take some serious steps
to modernize the educational system with reforms. Govt must spend more
money on education.
Author’s position
 Pakistan must spend more on education. But countries
spending less per student have better educational outcomes
than Pakistan.
Reasons
 According to the Pakistani context education is divided into two different types,
Traditional education and Modern education. Like oil and water they do not mix
together however vigorously shaken.
 Traditional education prepare the students for a better after life, physical

punishments, questions are prohibited.


 Modern education prepare the students about this life, obedience is reward,

rattafication.
 A survey in 2003 conducted around the Rawalpindi area by Matthew Nelson,

professor at the University of London, discovered a whopping 41 percent


preferences for the statement; “A good school is a school that creates good
Muslims. (“In other words good schools provide students with strong values and
strong religious beliefs.”) 10 percent beliefs in Modern education.

 But Pakistani-origin British children have Math and reading skills lower than
those of Whites or Indians, In fact they are at they low end of all ethnic
minorities in Britain.

 That’s because many Pakistani fear their children will lose their religious
moorings and therefore choose to home-school their children or send them to
faith based schools.

 Educational understanding in Pakistan. They top the exams of local examination


boards, all without achieving any understanding of their study material. (They
focus on rattafication)

Conclusion
 It will remain same. If govt will not take any serious action.
