INDEPENDENCE DAY 
Independence Day or Yaum-e Azadi is observed annually on
August 14, it is a national holiday in Pakistan,
commemorating the day when Pakistan achieved
independence and was declared a sovereign nation, following
the end of the British Raj in 1947. Pakistan came into
existence as a result of the Pakistan Movement the Pakistan
Movement aimed for creation of an
independent Muslim state by division of the north-western
region of the South Asia and was led by All-India Muslim
League under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Day also Republic Day is a
national holiday in Pakistan to
commemorate the Lahore
Resolution of 1940 and the
adoption of the first constitution of
Pakistan during the transition of
the Dominion of Pakistan to
the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
on 23 March 1956 making
Pakistan the world's first Islamic
republic. Republic Day parade by
the armed forces. Pakistan
obtained its independence from
the British Raj on 14 August 1947.
YOUM-E-TAKBIR 
 Is celebrated as a national day in Pakistan on May 28 in
commemoration of Chagai -I and Chagai-II.
 Pakistan detonated six nuclear devices in response to India's
five detonations of Pokhran-II in 1998, 17 days after the
incident.
 Pakistan became the 7th World Nuclear Power and the 1st in
the Muslim World.
 The day was officially signed by the then Prime Minister of
Pakistan Nawaz Sharif.
DEFENCE DAY 
 Defence Day or Yaum-e-Difa is celebrated in Pakistan
as a national day on 6 September in memory of those
who killed in the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965 and
successful defence of Lahore, Sialkot and other
important areas of the country.
 The Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 was a culmination
of skirmishes that took place between April 1965 and
September 1965 between Pakistan and India. This
conflict became known as the Second Kashmir War
 fought by India and Pakistan over the disputed region
of Kashmir, the first having been fought in 1947.
 The war began following Pakistan's Operation
Gibraltar, which was designed to infiltrate forces
into Jammu and Kashmir to precipitate an insurgency
against rule by India.
 The five-week war caused thousands of casualties on
both sides.
