Size
• A big sized advertisement for the new mobile
device- Helio is displayed at the front page of a
popular newspaper – Prothom Alo to gain attention
of potential buyers of mobile phone.
Color and
Movement
• The telecommunication company – Banglalink
uses advertisement capturing happy dancing
moments of the youths and always uses
“orange color” with alignment to their logo
Intensity
• Local Cement Company, Shah Cement, is now
featuring the news headlines for news reported
at local television channel -Somoi TV. They are
showing their advertisement at he beginning
and also in covering every headlines of the
news and coming repeatedly.
Isolation
• Companies uses dedicated shelf space and
feature their products only. The picture is of
a dedicated shelf at Unimart from Reckitt
Benckiser, displaying all their products- Mr.
Brasso, Dettol (handwash, liquid, soap),
Lizol, Harpic (liquid and powder), Trix. This
is an example of isolation to gain attention
of consumers.
Format
• NIDO- a fortified whole milk powder
manufactured by Nestle, where the
format is simple and easy to
understand and displaying the
target customer, kids, and showing
the product, a glass full of milk and
branding the product- World’s
Number 1 brand.
• KNORR- a soup mix manufactured
by Unilever, where the format is
displayed with clear message and
the variant, Thai Soup, added
ingredient, real chicken, and
showing a bowl of soup so as to
demonstrate what the soup will look
like.
Attractive visuals
• Lifebuoy used Shakib Al Hasan, famous
cricket player from Bangladesh Cricket team,
as the brand ambassador and attracted many
kids and children with the tagline- Khelbe
Tiger, Jitbe Tiger.
• Ananto Jalil, famous actor in Bangladesh, was
featured in advertisements of Grameenphone
and used the tagline from movie- Oshombhob
k shombhob korbe.
• This is an example of an advertisement where

explaining key features, benefits, ingredients,

Position
• Given is an example of Shelf Talker by Reckitt
Benckiser for their products. One is with a framing of
Aloevera- the new variant of Dettol, for displaying all
Dettol soaps and another with Harpic at their retail
outlets as a part of their Retail Loyalty Platform.
These paid displays are used to position their
products exclusively and attract customers attention.
Contrast and
Expectation
• An usual car advertisement
would look like a moving car on a
speedy highway. That’s the
expectation in the minds of the
consumers. However, this was a
contrast advertisement and as
an awareness of COVID-19, the
company Morris Garage (MG),
newly launched in Bangladesh,
shared with a message “To drive
another day” with a covered car.
Usually when cars are displayed
and messages are given to drive,
this was a contrast.
