CHAPTER)

 NETWORKING STARTED IN FEBRUARY 2000

– CBSE Sahodaya School Complexes (Gurgaon
Chapter) is an executive body of 25 leading
schools of Gurgaon. The idea was initiated in
February 2000 and by May 2000, the
association took final shape and became
active.
 COOPERATION AND COLLABORATION

– Five schools joined

– to promote and develop social, cultural and
educational development amongst the
members.
– The council strives to-
(a) Increase capacity building due to the
changing socio-eco scenario
(b) Frequent meetings of schools to galvanize
professionalism.

ACHIEVEMENTS
 1st Annual Conference:- The council organized a meeting
with Shri M.K. Miglani IAS, Financial Commissioner and
Secretary, Department of Education, Haryana in May 2001.
He discussed the Haryana Education Act (HSEA) was
promulgated on 4th June 1999.
 2nd Annual Conference:- The annual conference was held
on 7the February 2003. The theme of this conference was
“Future Trends in Education”. It was inaugurated by
Dr. S. K. Qureshi , Director General Doordarshan.
ACHIEVEMENTS
 3rd Annual Conference:- GPSC organized a mega event-
Festive X-pression 2004 Book Carnival in collaboration
with the Federation of Publishers and Book Sellers
Association of India from 15-17 January, 2004. His Excellency
Babu Parmanand the Governor of Haryana inaugurated the
Carnival. Mr. G. Balasubramanian, Director (Academics)
CBSE was the Chief Guest for the closing function.
 4th Annual Conference:- The fourth Annual Conference on
‘Disha- The Direction’ was held at Bristol Hotel, Gurgaon on
19th February 2005.The inaugural and key note address was
given by Mr. Ashok Ganguly, Chairman CBSE on “Catalytic
Educational Leadership”.
 ACHIEVEMENTS
 5th Annual Conference: - The fifth Annual Conference was
on ‘Globalisation of Education and its impact on Indian
Economy and Society’. Prof. MA Khadder, who is the head
Curriculum Group NCERT, inaugurated the programme.
 6th Annual Conference: - The sixth annual Conference was
organized on 20 Jan 2007. The main theme of the
conference was ‘Excellence: A New Prespective’
 7th Annual Conference:- The main theme of the conference
was “Challenges in School Education” on 31st January
2009.
