Part A
Candidates must cover the following sections to achieve
the following Learning outcomes.

• Explain the social forces and cultures that form a


context in which violent youths groups can emerge
(LO1)
• Analyse the impact of mass/multimedia and social
media on young people, youth violence and gangs
(LO2)
• Identify and describe the wider impact of youth
culture on youth violence and on gang culture (LO3)
Part B
Candidates must cover the following sections to achieve
the following Learning outcomes

• Explain the concept of belonging within groups


including within a gang related environment. (LO4)
• Explain the relationship between violent young
people, gangs and crime. (LO5)
• Explain the reasons that girls join gangs and the
impact and the impact it may have on them. (LO6)
• Assess the impact of family in the socialisation process
of young people and the reason for the development
of deviance (LO7)
Report includes
• Front page relevant picture and students name.
• Content page refers to all the information contained in Report.
• An introduction that describes the purpose of the report, explains why it
is necessary and/or useful, and sets out its precise aims and objectives.
• A methods (or methodology) section that describes and justifies the
methods used to collect data.
• A results (also called findings) section that simply presents the results of
the research (so it may consist mainly of tables, charts, diagrams etc.)
• A discussion (sometimes called analysis or interpretation) that analyses
• A conclusion that summarises the report, often revisiting the aims and
objectives.
• Recommendations, where the writer uses the results and conclusions of
the report to make practical suggestions about the problem or issue being

• Essays focus on analysing or evaluating


theory, past research by other people, and
ideas.
• Essays do not speak in first person
• Essays do not include recommendations.
